Maylen Montoto began her career as a Junior Associate and Public relations specialist over 29 years ago for JGR and Associates, a very well-known advertising agency in Miami, Florida. Mrs. Montoto specializes in the areas of public relations, crisis management, media, community and governmental affairs, special events, and fundraising for the nonprofit sector.
In her leadership roles, Ms. Montoto served as Director of Development for Catholic Hospice for over 16 years, Vice President of Community Affairs for Opus Health Care, and Associate director of Community Development for the Jackson Health Foundation.
She also served as Manager of Community Relations for the American Diabetes Association and AOL Latino, promoting computer education on the Hispanic Market for under privilege families. She is committed to community service in the South Florida area by providing support to several organizations, such as Liga contra el Cancer, Alzheimer’s Association, and Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Ms. Montoto also has an active role at the South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, as a member of the Hispanic Women Society Mentorship Program and the Health committee. She is also a member of the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, and the Doral Business Council.
